The Releaf Center FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Here you will find a list of different questions we find ourselves answering throughout the day; if you have a question for us, check below and it might be there. If it's not there, any one of our staff members can assist you directly.
Can I get my medicinal marijuana recommendation from The Releaf Center?
No, The Releaf Center does not have a doctor on site, nor will any law-abiding Medical Marijuana Center in Colorado, but we do partner with compassionate physicians and we can provide you a referral.
Do I need an appointment to be seen at The Releaf Center?
No, walk-ins are always accepted for Colorado MMJ card holders.
What are the qualifying conditions for medical marijuana?
Cancer, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS positive, cachexia; severe pain; severe nausea; seizures, including those that are characteristic of epilepsy; or persistent muscle spasms, including those that are characteristic of multiple sclerosis. Other conditions are subject to approval by the Colorado Board of Health.
How much does membership cost?
Memberships are free for all patients, with discounts and rewards for our patients who designate The Releaf Center as their state-registered Medical Marijuana Primary Center.
What are valid forms of ID?
You must have at least one of the following: Colorado Driver's License, Colorado ID, Temporary Colorado Driver's License or Temporary Colorado ID OR any one of the following: Out of State Driver's License, Out of State ID, Passport, Military ID, or Tribal ID AND Work identification/paycheck stub/W-2, utility bill, medical/insurance bill or cable bill.
Can I obtain medicine if The Releaf Center isn't my state registered primary center?
Yes, we will always see patients regardless of whether or not they've registered us as their Primary Center through the state.
Is there a notary on site?
Yes, we have a notary on staff to help expedite the paperwork process.
Can I purchase meds at The Releaf Center if I live somewhere other than Colorado?
No. Regretfully, Colorado does not, as of July 2011, have any sort of reciprocal program with other states. You must be a Colorado resident and you must present your MMJ "red card" to enjoy our medicines.
Do you accept Insurance/Medicare?
Not at this time. If marijuana is finally rescheduled with the DEA, perhaps government organizations such as these will climb onboard?
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover - Amex refuses to conduct business with "our kind" - they put the kibosh on MMJ in early 2011.
Do you sell clones?
Yes and No. The term 'clone', as of July 1, 2011, is no longer being used. The term has been replaced with another - "immature plants" - yes, we carry immature plants @ $10/each.
Do you sell seeds?
No.
Do you have discounted prices for low-income patients?
We always try to offer a bargain-shelf strain that is available at a lower price, but medicine levels vary. We do have an agreement set up with the MMAPA, an organization put into place to assist indigent patients... discounts at up to 50% off regular prices.
Do you offer vegan or gluten free edibles?
While medicine inventory fluctuates, we do try to offer a variety of edibles for patients with dietary concerns. Always feel free to call ahead and ask.
